I've...... sort of? accidentally??? Well, I don't know if it was an accident or if I've always felt this and merely never verbalized it and therefore didn't know this was how I viewed things.

 

Anyway, I've been working on a fic of all the brothers' POVs of each other and their role in the empire, and it's been going over great, with people really responding to how I see this world. But coming to Raziel's chapter, I've kind of written him as The Prime Executor of all of Kain's vision for building the empire, and having finally put that into words and narrative, that FEELS right, but I'm fairly certain the stans of the other brothers that exist in fandom might murder me.

In the sense that... I feel like I accidentally wrote something very intimate. And I don't mind that others have other perspectives, but when you do something vulnerable, there's a lot of trepidation involved in actually sharing that with people.

...sigh.

I've got half a mind to rewrite the whole of the LoK story as a fanfic so I can send it to my friends. BASICALLY just canon, but editorialized here and there to be coherent because the time travel stuff is crazy complicated and even I forget how all the timelines work sometimes so I'd have to make it more explicit, and of course, some of the story is explained via gameplay and visuals so it would have to be bound to narrative. But then I could just... SHARE the story. Not everyone like shitty graphics and PS1 controls, but many people enjoy reading fantasy. :)c I don't know if that would actually work out, but now that I've THOUGHT it, I'm going to be fucking OBSESSED with it.

WOW, I didn't actually think about, but you're RIGHT. This isn't just for people who have never played - I'd also read this in a heartbeat instead of struggling through BO. Now I'm realllllllly fired up.
