• Hi, my name is Gabriel!
• I'm not very active, but occasionally I crave DW! I like the people I've met here :)
• I don't lock any posts and I don't get notifications for new subscribers, so I won't notice you if you don't say hi.
• This is primarily an M/M fannish space. I post mostly art, meta, and question memes, but some personal posts too.
• The past couple years, my main fandoms have been DC (BruJay, Kyle Rayner, Tommy Monaghan, The Batman 2022) and Legacy of Kain (RaziKain). I've also occasionally made content for Mistborn/Stormlight (gen), Brothers Strugatsky (gen), AtLA (Zukaang), and Captive Prince (Lauguste). I'm really enjoying the new RTD era of Doctor Who, and have started talking about that show again.

I'm a freelance illustrator so commissions are always open unless I make a huge fuss about being swamped and closing them. Just to be clear, I charge a livable rate rather than hobbyist underselling. I am willing to negotiate if you need a cover for a self-published novel, but please don't ask for discounts or lower rates in other circumstances. Please use this form to request a quote.

Fun Facts:

• I like sweets, esp. European pastries. Favorite food to cook/eat is chicken pot pie. Also love to make bourbon or gin cocktails.
• Some of my favorite fic/art tropes are: tentacles, incest, communication barriers, knotting, alpha/alpha breeding, and pining smashed together with dubcon.
• I'm very particular about... just about everything. Fests, fics, clothes, colors, beer, music, games...
• I had a brain injury in 2019 and I still can't write like I used to, but I've slowly started to paint better than ever.
• Every other Wednesday, I treat myself to daydrinking.

Your website is awesome! I have to agree with you - Tumblr is much better for posting art. DW was never designed for that and everything is awkward about it here.

I like to believe that SOMEDAY we will get a site that can do it all. It'll be an accident, as per usual - no one's going to figure out how to build a perfect site despite all best efforts, but we'll amass there and it will flourish, art and fic and all. It's worth believing in! Keeps me active in fandom, at least, "in preparation" for that fateful hour. :)

Your art is delightful; with the disclaimer that I know literally nothing about art, I really like the style, and there's a sort of... irreverant attitude (I can't find a better way to describe it, hopefully you know what I mean) to some of them that made me smile :)

I clicked through to see your art, and it's stunning! I especially loved that beautiful interior with lighting from the side and a multi-armed statue, and the other one with Batman kissing in the rain.

More importantly, eggs are so good. I like them boiled especially.

The question then is, what's your favorite way to eat boiled eggs? Mine is to cut them in half, arrange them all flat side down on a plate, top each one with a dollop of mayo and eat with a fork and maybe also a knife. It's still just boiled eggs, but it's practically a feast. (Soft boiled in another story.)

That sounds quite fancy while also being very simple to arrange! I like to either eat them on their own (they are great when on the road, since they naturally come packaged), or slice them and put them on top of a sandwich. Sandwiches with egg and pickled herring are delicious.

SANDWICHES WITH PICKLED HERRING AND EGG?? How have I never heard of this - I come from a country of pickled herring aficionados. What else do you typically add to it?

Generally I just butter the bread and that's it. :) Though, the pickled herring includes some vegetables. You could probably add mayo, couldn't hurt. I've tried sour cream before and it was good.

Thank you! To be fair, I don't get paid gigs for fandom stuff very frequently, and that's probably a good thing. The more fandom is free, the better. It's just also a good idea to mention "Lol, the only free stuff you'll be getting from me is my own hyperfixations; enjoy!"

HAHAHAHA, I'm glad you like that one. Jason sneaking around guiltily (or being chased after being discovered) is my absolute favorite comedic trope.

Like when the yolk is all runny and starts pouring out as you eat? Yum. A very dangerous way to eat eggs when you have a beard though - it's like runny yolks are magnetized to the darn thing.

It still feels like it most of the time though bc I'm such a tumblr native that the DW/LJ way of socializing is still difficult for me to grasp and I'm nowhere near fluent in it.
