About:

• Hi, my name is Gabriel!
• I'm not very active, but occasionally I crave DW! I like the people I've met here :)
• I don't lock any posts and I don't get notifications for new subscribers, so I won't notice you if you don't say hi.
• This is primarily an M/M fannish space. I post mostly art, meta, and question memes, but some personal posts too.
• The past couple years, my main fandoms have been DC (BruJay, Kyle Rayner, Tommy Monaghan, The Batman 2022) and Legacy of Kain (RaziKain). I've also occasionally made content for Mistborn/Stormlight (gen), Brothers Strugatsky (gen), AtLA (Zukaang), and Captive Prince (Lauguste). I'm really enjoying the new RTD era of Doctor Who, and have started talking about that show again.

• If you’re easily squicked by anything off the beaten path, you might have a bad time here. I enjoy playing around with taboos.

Commissions:

I'm a freelance illustrator so commissions are always open unless I make a huge fuss about being swamped and closing them. Just to be clear, I charge a livable rate rather than hobbyist underselling. I am willing to negotiate if you need a cover for a self-published novel, but please don't ask for discounts or lower rates in other circumstances. Please use this form to request a quote.

Fun Facts:

• I like sweets, esp. European pastries. Favorite food to cook/eat is chicken pot pie. Also love to make bourbon or gin cocktails.
• Some of my favorite fic/art tropes are: tentacles, incest, communication barriers, knotting, alpha/alpha breeding, and pining smashed together with dubcon.
• I'm very particular about... just about everything. Fests, fics, clothes, colors, beer, music, games...
• I had a brain injury in 2019 and I still can't write like I used to, but I've slowly started to paint better than ever.
• Every other Wednesday, I treat myself to daydrinking.

Hello and welcome! I want to say "Oh, I'm new to Dreamwidth too!" but I guess I'm not anymore... It still feels like it most of the time though bc I'm such a tumblr native that the DW/LJ way of socializing is still difficult for me to grasp and I'm nowhere near fluent in it. I read your recent entry and subscribed - hope you find your way back to what you're looking for, or something like it.

Thank you so much :) I was never on Tumblr but considered starting one after I fled Facebook and Instagram... I've kinda forgotten the DW / LJ way but I think it'll come back to me. Whether it will give me what I'm looking for, I'm not sure, but I appreciate the nice welcoming messages I've gotten so far, including yours!
